WHAT IS IT?

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
As a cutting-edge, non-invasive treatment Sofwave has a number of aesthetic applications. It is used to lift the eyebrows, neck, and submental area (under the chin); to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; improve the appearance of cellulite for the short-term, and treat acne scars.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Sofwave uses patented Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam SUPERB TM technology to target the mid-dermis, stimulating the natural healing processes in the body’s tissues without damaging the epidermis (superficial skin layer) or underlying structures. The result is tissue remodelling and production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid which leads to plumper, firmer and more hydrated skin, leading to a rejuvenated look with lifted, tighter skin.

IS IT SAFE?
As a non-invasive treatment, Sofwave is FDA approved and has an excellent safety profile with multiple clinical and research studies, and over 200,000 treatments performed. It is safe and effective for all skin types and colours, all year round. Furthermore, Sofwave boasts an integrated cooling system called Sofcool TM , which protects and cools the outer layer of the skin to enhance treatment comfort.

WHAT HAPPENS ON THE DAY?
You will meet our plastic surgery consultant, Miss Shetha Naji, for a face-to-face consultation. You will have a full medical and aesthetic consultation detailing your desires and concerns, and following a thorough and systematic assessment, a treatment plan will be devised. This will include a detailed explanation of the procedure itself, associated risks and aftercare. There is no obligation to undertake any treatment. 

If you wish to proceed, the treatment typically lasts 30-45 minutes, with minimal to no downtime afterward. A follow up appointment in person is not typically required following your Sofwave treatment, and most patients require only one treatment.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Some initial results are seen immediately due to the thermal contraction of the skin. As the treatment targets tissue regeneration, which takes approximately 3 months, full results may take 12-16 weeks.

HOW LONG WITH RESULTS LAST?
Results may vary, but typically effects last up to 12months. Sometimes an additional treatment session, 6months after the initial treatment, may be beneficial.
